Milwaukee Rep’s Professional Training Institute (PTI) Ensemble returns with the production of The Compass this July in the Stiemke Studio. Featuring 15 students from 10 different high schools The Compass is a groundbreaking, live interactive performance that explores the intersection of technology and decision-making. Performances are July 28-31, 2022.
After a two year break Rep Lab is back for a limited 3 performance run June 24-26. You've seen our Emerging Professional Residents (EPRs) in supporting roles all season long and now it's time for them to step into the spotlight with two dynamic one-act plays.
We are pleased to announce beloved Milwaukeean Matt Daniels will perform the role of Scrooge in the 2022 production of A Christmas Carol. Trained at Juilliard, Mr. Daniels previously appeared in Titanic The Musical, Junk, Guys and Dolls and Man of La Mancha at Milwaukee Rep. He has extensive acting and directing credits across Wisconsin and Milwaukee Rep is thrilled he is taking on such an iconic role in Milwaukee’s favorite holiday tradition.
We are thrilled to bring back Titanic The Musical for a limited five-week run this fall. With the addition of Titanic to the fall schedule, we will be postponing our previously announced production of Ragtime to a future season.
Our 69th Season will once again feature 11 productions including four World Premieres; the second year of our Classic Play Initiative with one of Shakespeare’s best loved comedies; the return of our sold-out hit Ragtime and such much more. Season Tickets are now on sale.
With great sadness we share the passing of Milwaukee Rep founder Mary John. Mary was a passionate advocate for theater and education. In 1954, she forged a plan to create the first professional theatre for the city of Milwaukee and established Drama Inc., now Milwaukee Repertory Theater. We are forever grateful for her groundbreaking contributions to our city by creating an artistic home for so many these last 68 years.
