Synopsis

Below are more details about the show. If you prefer to experience the story without knowing any plot details in advance, we recommend closing this window.

The perfect crime requires the perfect team—people with specialized skills, impeccable timing and complete trust in one another. But when that team is made up of thieves, how can anyone know whom to trust?

That question drives Arun Lakra’s Heist, a theatrical thriller inspired by classic caper films including Ocean’s Eleven, The Italian Job and The Sting. The play brings the excitement and intrigue of the cinematic heist to the stage while exploring betrayal, perception, memory and ambition.

Marvin assembles a crew of professional thieves for what should be the perfect job. But after their first operation fails, suspicion divides the group and leaves everyone questioning where the others’ loyalties lie. When Marvin discovers an opportunity to steal a valuable gem from a rival thief known as “The Spider,” he reunites the crew for one last job—and a chance to uncover what really happened.

The team includes a hacker, an athlete, the muscle and a charming but slippery confidant. Each brings an essential skill to the plan, along with personal motives and vulnerabilities that could threaten its success.

Moving between the present-day heist and revealing flashbacks, the play invites audiences to piece together the truth as lies, half-truths and hidden motivations emerge. In a world built on illusion, every detail could be part of the plan—and no one may be exactly who they appear to be.
