Accessibility + Assistance

Are The Theaters Accessible?
The Associated Bank Theater Center offers accessible entrances and seating, along with services that include Audio Description, ASL interpretation and real-time closed captioned performances. Are Assistive Listening Devices Available?
Assistive listening devices are available free of charge for all performances in our three theater venues and may be checked out at any Guest Services Desk. Hearing loop systems allow guests with compatible hearing aids or cochlear implants to connect directly, while loop receivers and other devices are available for guests who need them. A valid photo ID is required when checking out equipment.

Is There A Coat Check?
Free self-service coat racks are available near all three performance venues.

May I Bring Food Or Drinks Into The Theater?
Drinks may be brought into the Ellen & Joe Checota Powerhouse Theater and Herro-Franke Studio Theater in cups with lids provided by Milwaukee Rep. However no food is allowed. Alcoholic beverages may not be taken outside designated lobby and theater areas. The Stackner Cabaret offers dinner before the performance, with desserts and drinks available during intermission. Is There A Dress Code?
Wear what makes you feel most comfortable. We ask guests to avoid strongly scented perfumes, colognes and lotions out of consideration for those with allergies or sensitivities.

Do All Performances Have An Intermission?
Most performances include an intermission, but some are presented without one. Running time and intermission information can be found on each production’s webpage and in the performance program.

Are There Pre- Or Post-Show Activities?

What Should I Do If I Lose Something?
Check with the Guest Services Desks on Level 1 before leaving the theater. If the item cannot be located, contact Milwaukee Rep’s administrative office during regular business hours at 414-224-1761.

May I Bring Children To The Theater?
Most Milwaukee Rep productions are intended for school-age children and older, although age recommendations vary by production. Children under age 6 are not admitted unless otherwise advertised. Content information is available on each production page to help families determine whether a show is appropriate. Every guest, regardless of age, must have a ticket, and babes in arms are not permitted. Contact the Ticket Office at 414-224-9490 with questions about a specific production.

What Happens If I Arrive Late?
Late seating is determined by the House Manager and varies by production. To minimize disruption, you may be seated in an alternate location or asked to wait until an appropriate break or intermission. Please allow additional time for traffic, parking and arrival at the theater.

May I Use My Phone Or Another Electronic Device?
Please silence all electronic devices before the performance and refrain from using them while the performance is underway. Sounds and notifications can be distracting to both artists and guests. Phones and iPads are allowed during closed captioned performances in order to read captions through the Gala Pro App, however sound on devices must be silenced.

May I Take Photos Or Record The Performance?
Photography, video and audio recording are prohibited during performances. Unless otherwise announced, guests may take photos of the set before the performance, during intermission or after the show. 

Is Smoking Permitted?
Smoking and vaping, including the use of electronic cigarettes, are prohibited inside the Associated Bank Theater Center.

What Is The Weather Policy?
Performances generally proceed as scheduled during inclement weather, and refunds are not offered because of weather or travel conditions. If Milwaukee Rep cancels a performance, affected ticket holders will be contacted with additional information.
