Teens

Milwaukee Rep believes the next generation of storytellers, leaders, and changemakers is already here. Our teen programs offer multiple pathways to find your place in the theater — whether you're ready to shape the future as a Teen Council member, develop professional skills through Youth Training and Classes, or share your talent with Next Narrative® Monologue Competition. No experience required — just curiosity, creativity, and something to say.

Youth Classes

Explore a variety of performing arts classes for youth ages 7–18 designed to build confidence, spark creativity, and develop skills for the stage and beyond.

Teen Council

A leadership program for teens interested in theater, arts administration, and community engagement. Participants gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills.

Next Narrative® Monologue Competition

A national competition where high school students perform monologues by leading contemporary Black playwrights. Participants build confidence, strengthen their performance skills, and have the opportunity to advance to regional and national finals.
