Wells Street Main Entrance

The striking new glass entrance, thoughtfully connected to Milwaukee Rep’s beloved and historic home the Oneida Street Station Power Plant, will serve as the gateway to the 152,500-square-foot Associated Bank Theater Center, welcoming guests with transparency, light, and energy. Originally built in 1898, the brick historic structure has long been a cornerstone of Milwaukee’s downtown and a proud symbol of the city’s industrial and cultural legacy.

Designed to honor this rich past while reflecting Milwaukee Rep’s bold future, the new entrance to the Theater Center will transform the Wells Street streetscape—creating a vibrant new focal point. With its soaring glass façade and warm interior glow, the entrance invites the community in, signaling that something extraordinary awaits inside.

Northwestern Mutual Riverwalk Patio

With the historic Oneida Street Station Power Plant as a backdrop, the new Northwestern Mutual Riverwalk Patio offers a beautiful outdoor extension of the Associated Bank Theater Center. This welcoming space connects guests directly to the Milwaukee River and Riverwalk, providing a perfect setting for casual gatherings, receptions, celebrations, and special events. The patio also offers seamless access to the Herzfeld Foundation Education & Engagement Center and our new East Wells Street entrance.
