The experience begins before the performance. Throughout the season, enjoy a variety of pre-show activities designed to deepen your connection to the stories on stage. From engaging conversations and interactive workshops to cultural celebrations and opportunities to share your own experiences, these events offer new ways to connect with fellow patrons, explore the themes of each production, and make your time at the theater even more memorable.
Story Wall

Immerse yourself in the world of select productions with our Story Wall—a self-guided installation that brings each show to life. Explore rich context, behind-the-scenes insights, and unexpected history that deepen your connection to the performance. Arrive early or linger after the show to engage at your own pace.
Magic Workshop
Date: Sunday, October 25, 2026, 1:00pm-3:00pm
Location: Herzfeld Foundation Education & Engagement Center
Ages: 7+
Cost: $50 per person
Ever wondered what it feels like to be a magician? Join us for this family-friendly workshop inspired by the theatrical magic of Instructions for a Séance. Learn beginner-friendly magic tricks, uncover the secrets behind a few classic illusions, share some laughs, and take home a little magic of your own.
Prologue
Arrive early and step into the world of the play before the lights dim. Prologue is a pre-show experience designed to spark curiosity, depend understanding, and enrich your theatergoing journey. All events are free and held in Milwaukee Rep’s Herzfeld Education & Engagement Center.
