It’s also a neighborhood on the brink of change, full of hopes and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind. An open workshop for prospective first-generation college students. Receive tips for filling out your financial aid documents, hear from local first-generation college students and alumni, and make connections with financial aid officers at six area universities—including University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University, Mount Mary University, Alverno College, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Plus, munch on some yummy treats and catch a live preview performance from In the Heights.
