DETAILS

Limelight Legacy Society

If you have loved The Rep since its days in the Fred Miller or Todd Weir theaters and want to support the theater beyond your lifetime, consider making a planned gift. By joining our Limelight Legacy Society, established to recognize those who have made an estate or planned gift to The Rep, you can make a significant contribution to the long-term viability and sustainability of our company. Gifts can be made through bequests, life insurance, IRAs, or other planned giving arrangements, and may provide financial benefits to you as well.

By arranging for a planned gift of any size or type, you translate your love of great theater into a legacy of support ensuring that The Rep will continue to delight and challenge audiences for generations to come and maintain its reputation as one of the top regional theaters in the country.

“The Rep has been a major part of our lives for well over 30 years and counting. We want our legacy to continue after we leave this stage to support The Rep to bring quality theater to Milwaukee for future generations.”  – Peter and Deb Johnson

BEQUEST LANGUAGE

For guidance on how to establish an estate plan and incorporate a planned gift to The Rep, visit the Milwaukee Estate Planning Forum and speak with your tax advisor.

Residual Bequest Language

A residual bequest comes to us after your estate expenses and specific bequests are paid.

“I give and devise to Milwaukee Repertory Theater, located in Milwaukee, WI, all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific affiliate, fund or program).”

Specific Bequest Language

Naming Milwaukee Repertory Theater as a beneficiary of a specific amount from your estate is easy.

“I give and devise to Milwaukee Repertory Theater, located in Milwaukee, WI., the sum of $___________ to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).”

Contingent Bequest Language

Milwaukee Repertory Theater can be named as a contingent beneficiary in your will or personal trust if one or more of your specific bequests cannot be fulfilled.

“If (insert name) is not living at the time of my demise, I give and devise to Milwaukee Repertory Theater, the sum of $ _______ (or all or a percentage of the residue of my estate) to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).”
