Volunteer - Friends of The Rep

The Friends of The Rep is a membership volunteer organization that plays play a crucial role - helping The Rep to produce world class productions while maintaining fiscal responsibility as a non-profit. Collectively The Friends provide countless hours of time and energy to facilitate events, seat the patrons, and support the staff at The Rep. 2016/17 Season Membership Dues: One Year Membership  (July 1, 2016 –June 30, 2017)

  • $40 Household
  • $30 Individual

Thank you to everyone who came to volunteer and celebrate with us at Repartée: Favorite Things on Monday, January 31, 2017. This year we raised nearly $9,000, a gift that will go directly back to The Rep as part of the Friends of The Rep’s annual donation. To all those who attended, volunteered, donated, performed at and supported Repartée – thank you!


Volunteer Opportunities

There are a variety of ways that The Friends help support The Rep:


Sundown Suppers: Meet the cast and crew as you prepare and serve dinner between Saturday performances.

Emerging Professional Resident Angels: Host events and provide home-cooked meals for our Emerging Professional Residents throughout the season.

Rep Tours: Guide backstage tours of The Rep showing off the inner workings of the theater.

First Rehearsal Receptions: Prepare light snacks for a first rehearsal presentation with Rep staff.

Hospitality Bags: Provide a taste of Milwaukee for renowned visiting artists.

Airport Rides: Transport actors, directors, and designers to and from the airport.

Ushering: Usher patrons to their seats and provide assistance to the house staff, then enjoy the performance for free.

Raffle: Acquire raffle items, organize volunteers and help sell raffle tickets during a Rep production. 

Development Department Support: Help with seasonal events including The Rep's Annual Gala.

Assisting with The Rep’s Gala


Costume Closet: Model costumes from past productions to groups throughout southeast Wisconsin.

Speakers Bureau: Present a slide show presentation about the history of The Rep. 


Development: Help the Friends with membership marketing and development.

Leadership: Chair a committee and/or serve on the Board of the Friends of the Rep.

The Friends of The Rep Annual Meeting:
Help organize this volunteer recognition event for all Friends. Enjoy dinner and drinks while celebrating the impact you have had this season.
