The concert features Jessie Hooker-Bailey (Sarah in Ragtime, The Color Purple, A Christmas Carol), Emma Rose Brooks (Sarah in Guys & Dolls, Man of La Mancha), Jeffrey Kringer (Tony in West Side Story) and Nygel Robinson (The All Night Strut!) with Patrick Morrow on drums and Music Direction/Keyboards by Dan Kazemi.
New Play Development Showcase
1:30pm and 5:00pm
A sneak peek at works in progress from our John (Jack) D. Lewis New Play Development Program, including scenes and monologues from six different plays. Showcase repeats at 1:30pm and 5:00pm. Artists include West Side Story Choreographer Jon Rua.
Milwaukee Rep's Professional Training Institute (PTI) ensemble will perform monologues featuring playwrights from the new national Next Narratives Monologue Competition (formerly August Wilson Monologue Competition). Teen participants will be coached by actors and teaching artists as audiences witness the evolution of the monologues as they are prepared for competition.
Learn more about the creative process in our Costume Shop as we conduct interactive demonstrations about costume design, hair, makeup and more around our upcoming productions of Steel Magnolias, A Christmas Carol and Titanic the Musical.
