Members of the Friends, collectively, donate thousands of hours of volunteer time and effort to assure that the Rep has the resources to maintain its artistic standards and meet its financial objectives. The Friends' volunteer efforts provide extra "people" resources to help the Rep sustain its leadership as one of the best regional theaters in the country.

Participate in a Variety of Volunteer Activities

Company Services
• Sundown Suppers -A great way to meet the cast and crew as you use your culinary skills to prepare and serve dinner to appreciative company members between Saturday performances.
• Intern Angels - Help make The Rep Interns' stay more enjoyable by hosting several events and making home-cooked meals throughout the season to make them feel more at home.
• The Rep Tours - With just a bit of training, you'll be able to lead tour groups "backstage," showing them the inner workings of the theater.
• First Rehearsal Receptions - Volunteers assist in the preparation and serving of light snacks to The Rep staff and company members and attend a presentation discussing all elements of the next production.
• Hospitality Bags - It's the little things that make all the difference! Help put together bags of goodies for visiting artists.
• Airport Rides - As a courtesy driver you will transport actors, directors and designers to and from the airport.
• Ushering - Sign up to usher at one performance of each of our Quadracci Powerhouse and Stiemke Theater productions and see the play for free.

Fundraising
• Raffle – Help the Friends in their largest fundraiser of the season. There are many ways you can assist: acquire raffle items, organize the kick-off party, mail letters, make phone calls or just supervise the interns who sell the tickets at each show. The Raffle occurs during the run of one production.

Special Events
• Development Department Support - Help with The Rep's Annual Gala, Magic in the Making, backstage tours and seasonal events.

Community Services
• Marquee Club - Do you like to plan parties? Do you want to meet young people who are interested in the theater? Do you want to see great theater? The Marquee Club hosts several pre-show receptions throughout the season to introduce young professionals to Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
• Costume Closet - To help showcase the talent of The Rep costume department, costumes from past productions are modeled by volunteers to groups throughout southeast Wisconsin. Dressers also needed!
• Speakers Bureau – Present a slide show presentation about the history of The Rep.

Friends Services
• Development - Help the Friends with membership, marketing and development.
• Annual Meeting - Help plan the annual May meeting.
• Volunteer Recognition Event - Assist in the organization and setup of a wonderful "Thank you" party for all volunteers.
• Leadership - Chair a committee and/or serve on the Board of the Friends of the Rep.
