After just one year as Artistic Director of The Rep, no one is more delighted than I am at the staggeringly positive response that has been given to our accomplishments and creations in my inaugural season.

With numerous sold-out performances and critical acclaim for all of our productions, this season exceeded our wildest hopes and provided all of us here at The Rep with a wonderful boost of morale as we prepare to embark upon the 2011/12 Season.

My expectations were extremely high for the quality of work we wanted to make at The Rep, and next season will be no different. Whether an epic masterpiece, a resonant new work, a beloved classic or an uplifting musical, we will strive to produce extraordinary theater of substance and scale filled with diverse voices that tell the most remarkable stories. The plays I’ve chosen will not only entertain; they will intrigue and delight as well as perhaps provide a new way of looking at the world.
