|
Tracy is very happy to be making her Rep debut with A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Other Milwaukee credits include: Gladys in A LESSON FROM ALOES (Milwaukee Chamber Theatre); Woman 4 in STRING OF PEARLS (Renaissance Theaterworks) and Natasha in ROUGH CROSSING (Next Act Theatre). She recently completed her eighth season with American Players Theatre, where some of her favorite roles include Maxine in NIGHT OF THE IGUANA, Beatrice in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, Olivia in TWELFTH NIGHT, Irene Molloy in THE MATCHMAKER, Cleopatra in ANTONY & CLEOPATRA and MACBETH’S Lady. Tracy has worked for several Chicago area theaters including Steppenwolf Theatre, Northlight Theatre and Remy-Bumppo. Marilynn Bogetich |
Marilynn Bogetich makes her Milwaukee Rep debut in ENCHANTED APRIL. Most recently, she appeared in director Michael Halberstam’s production of THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION at his Writers’ Theatre in Glencoe, IL. Marilynn has performed on most of the stages in Chicago including: Steppenwolf Theatre Company (MARIA ARNDT); Goodman Theatre (DEATH OF A SALESMAN); Chicago Shakespeare Theater (SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE); Court Theatre (MY FAIR LADY); Northlight Theatre (BUBBE MEISUS) and Royal George Theatre (HATS!). Ms. Bogetich earned four Joseph Jefferson Award nominations and took home the prize for Mrs. Higgins in MY FAIR LADY. She toured the United States and Canada with Marie Osmond in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, appeared with Elizabeth Ashley at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto and premiered Stephen Sondheim’s most recent musical, BOUNCE, at the Goodman Theatre and Kennedy Center and can be heard on the original cast recording. In Wisconsin, Marilynn enjoyed performing in beautiful Door County with the Peninsula Players. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Jim, a native of Long Island, is very happy to be returning to The Rep after a hiatus of nearly 15 years. He is a company member of American Players Theatre and also resident playwright for First Stage. Along with his two novels, The Silenced and Blue, Jim has written over 20 plays for young audiences and adults. He is a recipient of the Literature Fellowship for Fiction from National Endowment for the Arts and was recently awarded the 2007 Charlotte B. Chorpenning Award by the American Alliance of Theater and Education for his body of work in theater for youth. |

John McGivern |
John is excited to be back in the Stiemke Theater. This is the theater John performed his one-man shows before moving back to Milwaukee. This is the theater where he was part of Milwaukee Rep’s LOVERS AND EXECUTIONERS. This is the theater John’s UWM storytelling students stand and share their lives. Coming back to the Stiemke is like coming home.
Many know John from his frequent visits with Dave and Carole on 96.5 WKLH. He can be seen on Milwaukee’s WTMJ-4 with his entertainment segment called The Daily Dish McGivern Style. You can catch John on Time Warner Cable’s Wisconsin on Demand Channel in Journey’s with John McGivern and as the host of Milwaukee’s Battle of the Chefs.
Many remember him from Milwaukee’s production of SHEAR MADNESS. He has played the lead role of Tony Whitcomb in Chicago, St. Paul, Tampa, Washington D C, San Francisco and Milwaukee.
John’s Milwaukee performances include SANTALAND DIARIES, FULLY COMMITTED, HOMEBODY KABUL, TAKE ME OUT, THE ODD COUPLE and LOVERS and EXCUTIONERS here at The Rep. Direct from Chicago this multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter is best known for his ability to capture the spirit of 1920’s and 30’s blues and roots music. Elizabeth previously appeared at The Rep in WIT, AN IDEAL HUSBAND, A DELICATE BALANCE, THE MAI and THE HOLLOW. Recent highlights include: THE CLEAN HOUSE (world premiere at Yale Repertory Theatre); DEAD CITY (world premiere in NY) and HOMEBODY/ KABUL (Ace Morgan Theatre, Ohio). She has performed on Broadway and at the Manhattan Theatre Club, the Roundabout Theatre Company, the Public Theater, New York Stage & Film, Gotham Stage Company and the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Cristina is grateful to be back at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Steve Pickering |
|
Steve has appeared at The Rep twice before: as Captain Ahab in Eric Simonson’s production of MOBY DICK, and as Deb Staples’ lugubrious husband, Theo, in Steve Martin’s THE UNDERPANTS. Most recently, he appeared as the Earl of Kent, opposite Stacy Keach, in that other production of KING LEAR – directed by Robert Falls for the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. Onto his 29th show at the Goodman, credits there include 654 performances of Falls’ Tony Award-winning production of DEATH OF A SALESMAN, with Brian Dennehy – on Broadway, for the National Tour, on Showtime and most recently, in London’s West End. Other Goodman credits include Jamie Tyrone in LONG DAYS JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, Angel in the world premiere of Steve Tesich’s ON THE OPEN ROAD, the Prosecutor in David Mamet’s ROMANCE, Mercutio in ROMEO AND JULIET, Puck in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, Frank Galati's production of A WINTER’S TALE, and three premieres by playwright Keith Reddin: BLACK SNOW, ALL THE RAGE and BIG TIME. Other Chicago credits include Iago in OTHELLO for both the Court and Chicago Shakespeare (again, with Ms. Staples as Desdemona), and the title roles in CORIOLANUS and MACBETH for the Next Theatre. Recent credits include Ceasar in JULIUS CAESAR, Gower in PERICLES, and Ageon in COMEDY OF ERRORS for this past summer’s season at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. Regional credits include the Old Globe, the Arena in D.C. and the New York Shakespeare Festival in Central Park. Formerly the Artistic Director of the Next Theatre in Evanston, IL, he serves as project director for Shanghai Low Theatricals. Spending the 2003/04 seasons in Los Angeles, he directed two critically-acclaimed productions for the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble: Manfred Karge’s CONQUEST OF THE SOUTH POLE and Tom Szentgyorgyi’s AMONG THE THUGS (two Backstage West Awards, three L.A. Drama Critic Circle Awards and three L.A. Weekly Awards, including best direction). Film and television credits include Law and Order, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Hoodlum, Rapid Fire, In the Shadow of a Killer, Mo’ Money and The Untouchables. Ben Reigel |
Ben is very excited to make his Milwaukee Rep debut and is absolutely thrilled to be working for the first time in many years with his father, Lee Ernst. Ben makes his home in Chicago, where he recently finished a long run in SHEAR MADNESS. Other theaters he has appeared with include: Milwaukee Chamber Theatre and American Players Theatre, as well as the Oregon, Utah, Texas, Maine and Milwaukee Shakespeare Festivals. He will return to Milwaukee this winter for First Stage Children’s Theater’s production of SLEEPING BEAUTY. Ben is a graduate of the University of Delaware’s Professional Theatre Training Program. |

Jonathan Smoots returns with delight to participate in the telling of this remarkable story. An actress for nearly 40 years, Linda has received acting awards in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, D.C. and Miami. On Broadway she played Meg in DAMN YANKEES, Daisy in THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER and Kate in ALL MY SONS. Since her move to Milwaukee two years ago, she’s played at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Skylight Opera Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks and Next Act Theatre. |

Katherine Strohmaier |
Katherine proudly returns to The Rep, having appeared in the Stackner Cabaret in BLUE ROSE: THE ROSEMARY CLOONEY STORY and THEY CAME FROM WAY OUT THERE. Most recently, she played Kate in THE BACHELORS at American Folklore Theatre, and will be tormenting John and Stew again this January in the Stiemke Theater. Other favorite credits include: Judy Denmark/Ginger Delmarco in RUTHLESS!; Yum-Yum in THE MIKADO; Elizabeth in the premiere of ROBIN HOOD: THE LEGEND CONTINUES and this summer’s roles as semi-professional cook and emergency pianist. Katherine makes her home in New York City, but recently made her maiden voyage to the Boundary Waters and caught her first walleye. |

He is on the faculty at Marymount Manhattan College. Emily Trask is delighted and grateful to be returning to Milwaukee Repertory Theater, where she began as a member of the 2003/04 Artistic Intern Company (Bertha in MARY STUART, Martha in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Helene in A DOLL’S HOUSE and Theresa in NAPOLI MILLIONARIA), and returned the following year to play Dina in YES. NO. (MAYBE SO . . .) and Mabel in CHAPS! Emily has appeared regionally with the Utah Shakespearean Festival (most recently as Hilda Manney in ROOM SERVICE and Ophelia in HAMLET); Hope Summer Repertory Theater and Montana Shakespeare in the Parks; and locally with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Next Act Theatre (most recently as Sarah in PARADISE) and Bialystock and Bloom. Jenny Wanasek is delighted to return to A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Previously for The Rep, Jenny played Signora Sirelli in YES. NO. (MAYBE SO . . . ) and Mrs. Shubert in SHEAR MADNESS. This season she appeared in HANA’S SUITCASE at First Stage Children’s Theater and directed MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. She has also acted or directed for Renaissance Theaterworks, In Tandem Theatre, Next Act Theatre and The Skylight. Favorite acting credits include LOST IN YONKERS (Bella), THE IMMIGRANT (Leah) and THE PRICE (Esther). She is a co-founder of The Center for Applied Theatre which uses theater to address social issues and teaches acting and directing at UWM and is a recipient of UWM’s Excellence in Teaching Award.
