THE REP WELCOMES
NEW MEMBERS TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Milwaukee Repertory Theater is pleased to announce Jacqueline Herd-Barber is the new President of its Board of Trustees. Ms. Herd-Barber is employed at Freescale Semiconductor. She and her family reside in Mequon.
During her upcoming two-year tenure as The Rep’s President, Ms. Herd-Barber is eager to encourage more people to attend Rep productions and to motivate patrons to contribute their support in order for the theater to remain a sound and stable community institution. “I accepted this position as President because I feel deeply about the work of The Rep. Theater is not a solitary or mind-numbing escape, rather it is one experienced with a community of people. Attending live theater is sharing a story – a truly unique experience in the 21st century – that cannot be re-created by a computer or a television show. I became hooked on The Rep because of the breadth, depth and diversity of the storytelling found in all three of our theaters and the stories presented which span centuries and cultures. The Rep tells these stories with some of the finest actors in the country who bring the characters to life.”
