The Education Department
is committed to using theater in the fullest possible way. By working
directly with the youth population of Milwaukee, our programs demonstrate
the educational potential, creative growth and development of life
skills gained through participation in theater.
Where can
I have Education Department programs performed?
- At your school or educational facility—80% of programs
are performed where you teach so you don’t have additional
costs or hassles of transportation.
- At Milwaukee Repertory Theater

Integrating
Theater in Today's World
A program generously funded
by the Einhorn Family Foundation
Milwaukee Repertory Theater's
Education Department is working with three area high schools to
develop lifelong appreciation of the theater arts in our community.
Each school has the opportunity to attend four productions of their
choice at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Actors or acting interns
from each play lead each class in a pre- and post-show workshop
for each play. Students are required to write a theatrical review
on each production. A committee at Milwaukee Repertory Theater reads
the submitted reviews and chooses one writer from each school to
be posted on our website. The winner also receives a gift card for
Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Below are the winners for the 2007-2008
