In
addition to programs we offer for students, we have a number of
opportunities for teachers. We offer various workshops for educators
to create a rich, stimulating, integrated curriculum that supports
every student's learning style. In addition to professional
development workshops geared towards the classrooms, many of
our teaching artists love teaching theater workshops to adults,
including playwriting, directing, acting and improv.
Classrooms alive!
Central to the workshop experience
is the concept that effective teachers enjoy what they do; that
joy shows in their voice, body language and overall approach to
the classroom. Children are very perceptive to these subtleties
and are greatly influenced by them. Workshop participants will
be exposed to simple techniques designed to enhance the joy in
the classroom experience. This workshop is excellent for the teacher
or administrator who is looking for ways in which to improve their
teaching technique and/or motivational enhancement.
