About The Rep’s Adult Class Catalogue
Milwaukee Rep Education is dedicated to offering a variety of programming for students of all ages, interests and backgrounds. The Adult Class Catalogue is designed specifically for adults ages 18+ who are interested in a developing a wide range of abilities related to the theatrical craft. Whether you are a beginner with no formal training or experience, or a seasoned performer looking to sharpen your skills, we offer courses and intensives throughout the year that will fit your needs. Class sizes are limited to ensure instructors are able to give one-on-one feedback to each student. Check back frequently as we continue to update our offerings throughout the season.

Location & Parking
All classes take place at Milwaukee Repertory Theater, located inside the Milwaukee Center at 108 E. Wells St., Milwaukee, WI 53202. Entrance to The Rep proper is adjacent to our Box Office window on the south side of the building. The receptionist on duty will be happy to direct you to the correct class space once inside. While we do not validate parking, street parking is typically available only a short distance from The Rep. Additional parking can be found close-by at the Intercontinental Hotel and Marcus Center Parking Structure for an hourly fee.

Adult Classes

    This intro class is designed for non-professionals from all walks of life interested in developing essential skills (such as confidence, focus, creative and critical thinking, etc.) while sharpening their basic acting skills. Classes will encourage students to use their imagination, body, and voice to explore specific techniques used to enhance any stage performance. Special attention will be given to preparing a contemporary monologue. Participants of the entire Basic Acting series (I, II and III) will receive a signed Certificate of Participation at the end of Basic Acting III.

    This fast-paced class will not only introduce students to the world of film, but help students get started in a time when everyone has the power to create and share their film work. Topics to be explored and practiced will include networking, auditioning, and talent and crew expectations for social media, micro-budget, and professional film projects. Whether you are a filmmaker as a hobby or eager amateur that wishes to turn professional, this course will help direct your passion to the best jumping off point.
