Part-time Ticket
Representatives
Part-time, varying
hours up to 28 hours per week. Position(s) begin the week of July
11. During the season the Ticket Office is open Mon. - Sun., Noon
to 6pm or until show time on performance days. Pay: $7.50
per hour and four tickets to MRT productions.
Responsibilities:
- Answer a large volume of incoming calls in a professional manner.
- Process subscription and single-ticket purchases and exchanges
in person, by phone, mail, internet and fax in a helpful, friendly
and accurate manner.
- Be aware of and provide current information to all patrons in
a proactive manner for all Milwaukee Repertory Theater events.
- Support Milwaukee Repertory Theater customer service policies
by solving patron problems and special needs in a courteous and
diplomatic manner.
- Staff day of show performances including ticket sales, will-call,
receipt of donated tickets and provide lost ticket replacement.
- Responsible for accurate sales reconciliation.
- Accurate data entry in Patron account maintenance.
- Participate in all training sessions in a positive, willing and
thoughtful manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least one year experience in customer service, preferably
in an arts environment
- Computer literacy, accuracy, (45 WPM) keyboarding skills
- High School diploma and/or GED
- Detail oriented & efficient
- Enjoys working with the public on the phone
- Patient, with strong communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Box Office, Ticketing and/or Tessitura experience a plus
- Willing to work flexible hours including weekends

Development Department
Intern (full-time)
The Rep’s Development Department offers a challenging opportunity
for college students, recent graduates or those re-entering or changing
careers, who are actively interested in arts administration. Interns
have the opportunity to work directly with all members of The Rep’s
Development Department, as well as marketing, education, production
and other departments. Interns will learn the various strategies
and tactics needed for successful fundraising at a major performing
arts company.
The fulltime Internship requires
a weekly commitment of 30-40 hours and an initial commitment of
4 - 5 months. While this is an
unpaid position, downtown parking, theater tickets and Rep events
and activities are available. This is a great opportunity for
personal and professional growth.
Duties Include:
Data entry and database tracking and analysis
Secondary and primary research
Assist in writing grant proposals
Assist in writing for Footlights and Newsletter Articles
Participate in fundraising special events
Acknowledgement of donor contributions
Assist in special mailings and special projects, as assigned
Skills/Experience Desired:
Two year post-secondary degree or higher
Database training or experience
Excellent written and oral communication
Computer skills (Microsoft Office, database knowledge)

Education
Department Intern
The Education department is seeking
a highly motivated intern to assist with various duties including:
administrating outreach programs, reading and researching plays for
study guides, assisting with student matinees, marketing education
programs and more. This position will report to the Education Director
and the applicant should be willing to commit to 15-20 hours each
week. Internships are available for the Spring of 2012. Candidate
should possess excellent written and oral communication, computer,
data entry and research skills and a good sense of humor! This is
a great opportunity to be involved in a fast paced, professional
theater company and a great opportunity to see the arts’ effect
on the community. Although this is an unpaid position, you will receive
complimentary tickets to Rep productions as well as have access to
opening night receptions.

Marketing Department Intern
Seeking a Marketing Intern to support
Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Marketing Department for the Summer and/or Fall Semester.
Duties would include support of day-to-day operations, from general
office to data management; research for publications, social media
and marketing efforts; patron engagement and writing assignments.
The ideal candidate will be seeking a hands-on opportunity to learn
about all aspects of marketing for theater, and will be motivated,
organized, personable and outgoing with an interest in both the art
and the business of theater.
Must have familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and
available a minimum of 8 hours a week. This is a non-paid internship.
This is a non-paid position that requires a minimum commitment of
8 hours a week.

Intern
The Marketing department is seeking an individual to
assist the Public Relations Director. Duties include writing press
releases, playwright bios and targeted promotional letters; reading
and researching plays; assisting with the publication production
process; updating media lists, preparing media kits, maintaining
press clippings and processing donation requests. Candidate should
possess excellent written and oral communication, computer, data
entry and research skills and good sense of humor! This is a great
opportunity to intern in a fast-paced, professional theater environment.
Internships are available for the fall, spring and summer semesters
for 12 to 15 hours per week. Although this is an unpaid position,
you will receive tickets to all Rep productions and have access to
opening night receptions.
